The book was last updated in 2016. As you can imagine, the problem with any printed book is that it goes out of date as things on the Internet change. I do write physical updates fairly often, but, between major updates I keep this book current in two ways:

Over 40 Million people visit Amazon every day. Amazon will not release their figures, but internal conversations with Amazon employees indicate there are just over 600,000 sellers registered on Amazon US. I have no idea how many sellers are on Amazon’s overseas sites, but I suspect it is substantial.
Most of the 600,000 sellers are casual sellers. I estimate there are about 60,000 active sellers and probably around 10,000 full-time professional sellers -about the same as on eBay.
You might be thinking, "How can I compete with 60,000 sellers? Wouldn't that make the site too crowded?" I know it sounds strange, but the number of sellers doesn't seem to matter.
I know several large professional sellers who have been selling on Amazon for several years. They all tell me their business increases each year even as the number of other sellers grows. I have that same experience. Each year since becoming an FBA seller, my Amazon sales have increased by almost 20% per year.
A few sellers have done that, but I don't recommend it. My wife and I still sell on eBay, and in some cases eBay is more profitable. However, it doesn't take that much effort to add Amazon.

When you sell on Amazon, Amazon does most of the work for you. They collect the money, take the credit card risk, professionally pack and ship your products and they handle all returns.

When you store your products in an Amazon warehouse, Amazon will ship products you sell on eBay to your eBay customers for you –and at reduced shipping. That makes you a lot more competitive on eBay.
4. Make more money - I can't guarantee this will be true for everyone, but most sellers I have spoken with who sell on both Amazon and eBay say they make more money on Amazon.

5. Seller Support - Seller support on Amazon is easier, faster and more accessible than on eBay. You can email Amazon right from your Seller Account main page.
