Bill Cobb promised more promotions for eBay Store sellers in his July Town Hall Meeting address. One of these has just been announced.
For the next two days (August 15th and 16th) the listing fee for auctions moved from Store inventory to "core" listings (regular auctions) will be only 10 cents. In addition, insertion into the gallery will be free. This will actually show up as a credit on your September statement, so don’t be surprized at having to initally pay the regular fees.
This is the time to shift your lagging stock sitting in your eBay Store. Your selling strategy needs to change in order for your eBay business to function with the new fee structure. Now is the time to get rid of as much old inventory as you can and start anew.
If your item is listed at $25.00, this promotion saves you $1.45 per listing. Even if your listing is in the $10.00-$24.99 fee category, you are still saving 85 cents per listing. If you have a store full, this can really save you some money.
The promotion does not apply to eBay Motors, Parts and Accessories, or many of the Business and Industrial categories. For more information go to: http://pages.ebay.com/promo/storetocore.
