Optimize Your eBay Business with eBay Seller Outreach and Get Ready for Feedback 2.0

eBay is offering a free 20 minute call with selling experts to review your auctions and store listings to improve performance

When I looked at the eBay home page this morning I saw a large box that said:eBay Seller Outreach. Schedule time with an eBay specialist to grow your business. That’s not an exact quote –but it went something like that.  The reason is when I went back to the eBay home page the box had been replaced with a promo box for items ending soon.  However, I did go to the page which is located at: http://www.scheduleonline.com/service_ebay.php

When you go to this page, it takes a moment or two to load a calendar where you can click on a specific day and time to schedule a 20 minute conference with an eBay selling specialist.  I would love to tell you how this works, but it doesn’t.  After you enter your username and pick a date, the page directs you to another web site from a company called Schedule Online.  Once there it asks you to enter your email address and password.  The problem is the system does’t have you set up as an account and doesn’t recoginze your eBay email address or password –and there is no link on the page to set up an account.

So I have been on hold with eBay powerseller support for the past 30 minutes while writing this post. Hopefully they will help me figure this out and I will come back and write an addendum.  So if this interests you check back here in a little while and I will let you know the result.

Feedback 2.0

Earlier this week eBay announced they will roll out Feedback 2.0 in the US market. If you have read my previous posts and my newsletter you know that I am not a fan of 2.0 based on my communications with eBay UK and eBay Australia sellers.  The stated purpose of 2.0 is to improve the buying experience, thereby bringing back buyers who have been leaving eBay in increasing numbers. During their conference call with investors, eBay did say that UK sales have been very strong since implementing 2.0.  I would love to see some exact figures. eBay must have data that shows increases or decreases in GMV, ASP and STR since 2.0 was released.
