It appears that eBay is seeing the summer slowdown as much as the sellers. For the second time in two weeks, eBay is having a listing sale. Today Tuesday, August 9, eBay listings will cost only 1-cent. The listing fee sale applies to both store subscribers and non-store subscribers and it covers eBay.com, eBay Motors and eBay Canada.
Tuesday is one of the worst days to end a listing. So instead of using a 7-day listing that would end your listing on Tuesday, use a 5-day listing. That will end your listing on Sunday –a much better day with a lot more eyeballs on the site than on Tuesday.
Other eBay News:
A story in USA Today reported that eBay will temporarily suspend listing for used baby cribs under pressure from the government to stop selling cribs that do not meet new safety standards.
eBay UK says its watching the site closely for items looted during the riots in Great Britain. A spokesperson said that no looted items have been spotted so far.
eBay have today introduced an interesting new application to the US Mac App Store that allows users to browser and purchase items on eBay without needing to boot up an internet browser. Details at Geeky Gadgets.
